Welcome to The Treagusts - a small, family-run, fully licensed dog boarding and walking service based in Emsworth, Hampshire. We offer a home-from-home experience for dogs, where they’re cared for as part of our family with love, attention, and plenty of adventures. We are 5* licensed by Havant Borough Council to look after up to 4 dogs in our family home (Licence No. 20056).
We’re the right fit for:
✓ Spayed/neutered dogs aged 12–18 months and older
✓ Sociable, confident dogs who enjoy the company of others
✓ Dogs who walk happily off-lead with solid recall
✓ Owners looking for regular walks or holiday boarding

We're unable to help with:
✗ Doggy daycare
✗ Sitting in your home
✗ Boarding for nervous, reactive, or anxious dogs (these dogs are usually happier with a sitter/trainer in their own environment)
✗ Ad-hoc or “one-off” walks / home visits

Home Boarding
When your dog stays with us, they’re welcomed into our family life. We’re licensed for a small number of dogs at any one time, which means your pup gets plenty of attention, love and care in a safe, relaxed environment.
£50 per day/24hr
Additional hours beyond 24hr: £4.50 per hour
Single-night bookings: £65 (one overnight, up to 24 hours)
Midweek Walkies & Adventures
Our group walks are perfect for sociable dogs who love a regular weekday adventure. We keep groups small (typically up to 4) and match our groups with compatible companions so every dog gets plenty of attention and care.
£15/hr (per dog)
Pick-up and drop-off included within our local area (Emsworth, Southbourne, Hermitage, Prinsted, Westbourne & Denvilles.)
CURRENT CAPACITY: We’re a small, selective setup and only take on a handful of dogs each year.

OUR PROCESS
Our step-by-step process, guided by the terms of our licence, ensures peace of mind for us all and comfort for your dog at every stage.
Stage 1. Initial Enquiry
Submit an enquiry to see if we might be a good fit. We can pencil in dates (pending trial) or simply start the conversation if you’re looking ahead.
Stage 2. Meet & Greet
A relaxed visit so we can chat through your dog’s routine, personality, and any special needs. Your dog can explore our home, meet us, and start to feel comfortable. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and see where they’ll be staying.
Stage 3. Overnight Trial
If the meet & greet goes well, we’ll book a one-night trial stay. This helps your dog experience a night away in a calm, familiar environment. It reassures you they’ll settle happily - and gives us insight into how best to care for them during longer stays.
Stage 4. Booking Confirmed
Once your dog has successfully completed their trial, we can confirm and secure future bookings with confidence.
Stage 5. Drop-Off
For main stays, handover is kept simple at the door, with minimum fuss - this helps your dog settle more quickly.
Stage 6. Stay Updates
We’ll send regular photo and message updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and cared for.
Stage 7. Pick-Up
We’ll agree a collection time and give you a quick update on how the stay went.
Stage 7. Follow-Up (optional)
We’re always happy to hear how your dog settled back at home and welcome any feedback for future stays.
